Dr. Mehrshad Yousefi, DMD, FIDIA
Dr. Mehrshad Yousefi, known to his patients as Dr. Mersh, was born and raised in Oviedo, FL. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida before graduating with honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, ranking 7th in his class. That achievement earned him his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), recognition from the American Prosthodontics Society through the Student Award of Merit, and induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Mersh has completed over 250 hours of advanced postgraduate training across implant surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and full-mouth rehabilitation. His education includes the Aesthetic Advantage continuum under Dr. Larry Rosenthal and Dr. Michael Apa, the Implant Seminars continuum earning his Fellowship in Implant Dentistry (FIDIA), full-arch implant and guided surgery training under Dr. Michael Pikos, the Implant and Soft Tissue Continuum at the Miami Institute, functional occlusion and treatment planning at the Kois Center, adhesive rehabilitation under Dr. Miguel Ortiz, and mentorships with Dr. Hamid Nassery in full-mouth rehabilitation and Dr. Thomas Doan in cosmetic case execution.
Outside the office, Dr. Mersh is an avid soccer player and artist who enjoys painting. He values time with his family and his Yorkie, Cyro.
Dr. Mersh’s clinical approach is built on three principles: function first, aesthetics with intention, and precision through technology. He practices biomimetic dentistry, preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible through conservative onlays, partial crowns, and adhesive bonding rather than defaulting to full crown preparations.
He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and holds a fellowship with the International Dental Implant Association.
